History Slides Home

In June 2015, How Charming Photography contacted Janette Evans (with the You’ll Like Linton Sign Committee) on how to keep one of the historic ‘Signs’ within the city. The concept was to keep this piece history “home”.  After a number of consults, the sign was officially donated on July 14, 2015 to How Charming Photography.

The first phase was completed fall 2015. Personalized Bricks were advertised for sale starting August 11, 2015 and concluded February 20, 2016 to rest at the base of the sign – placing YOUR family, business, personal name, etc. on this piece of history. These bricks were laid on March 26, 2016 by James Stone, Terry Graves, Rick Templeton, and assisted by Josh Templeton, Bryan Wilson, and Trevor Wilson.

This ‘You’ll Like Linton’ sign was placed at the Linton Youth League Sports Complex on Thursday, April 14.

This HCP Community Outreach Initiative titled “History Slides Home” is for those who play, coach and the many families and community members who support the youth at this new sports complex facility.

Funds received from the selling of these bricks benefit both the ‘You’ll Like Linton’ Committee (to assist in the purchase of the third sign) AND the ‘Linton Youth League ’ will also receive a monetary donation from the proceeds as well.
