Henryville 2012 Scholarship Fund

Following the devastating tornado that destroyed the Henryville High School on March 2, 2012, the students of this school were not only faced with having no school in their own community to attend but, for the seniors, no way to even attend a graduation where they have spent the last 12 years. Therefore, I decided to do something about this since a large part of my business is capturing the smiles of high school seniors.
How Charming Photography clients, friends, and family were given the opportunity to save on one of their favorite products … all while supporting the Henryville Class of 2012. From May 1 to May 11, 2012, money was raised to donate to the class to assist in graduation expenses after the tornados nearly leveled the town. Students, educations, and administration were moved to a temporary location for the remainder of the school year.
Due to the generosity of clients, family, and community members, a check was presented to the Class of 2012 on May 16, 2012 in the amount of $1,011. In addition, I awarded three complimentary one-hour portrait sessions with free prints were given to three deserving Class of 2013 members on May 16, 2012.
These funds will be used for graduation expenses and to purchase two metal benches that will be placed at the front entrance of reconstructed High School when students return on August 2, 2012. The Class of 2012 will present these benches to the underclassmen and staff at the start of the 2012-2013 school year.
